6th Avenue & 57th Street (Riker’s Restaurant)

Riker’s was another chain of all-night coffee shops/restaurants that dotted New York City. Originally founded in 1919, the chain went through multiple owners before closing for good in the mid-1970s.

Today, the location is a Capital One Bank. This appears to be a rare occurrence where a building has become more ornate since 1968, not less so.
